What it is

Students record a video of 1 to 3 minutes, spoken entirely in French.

Cash prizes go to Grades 6–12: up to $150 for Grades 11–12. K–5 entries get a certificate and a prize draw entry.

A good fit if: French learners of any age who'd rather speak than write.

How to register

  1. Submit through the CPF BC & Yukon contest page.
  2. The deadline is 11:59 pm Pacific time on November 13, 2026.

How to prepare

  • Write a short script first, then practise saying it naturally.
  • Keep it simple. A phone video is fine.

Can a kindergarten student enter?

Yes. It's open to K–12. Students in K–5 get a certificate and an entry in a prize draw.
