What it is

Teams of six students from any mix of Grades 9 to 12 take part in three events: an individual paper, a team paper and a relay.

Each event takes 45 minutes, about 3 hours in total. Only final answers are marked.

CEMC also hosts an in-person event at the University of Waterloo, but BC schools usually run it in school.

A good fit if: Students who enjoy math with friends. A good fit for a school math club.

How to register

  1. A teacher orders the contest for the school through the CEMC Contest Supervisor Portal. Students can't register themselves.
  2. The in-school ordering deadline is April 12, 2027. If your school hasn't run it before, a math club is a good place to suggest it.
