What it is

Langley's choice programs: Early French Immersion (Kindergarten, at Belmont and James Kennedy), Late French Immersion (Grade 6, at Alex Hope and Noel Booth), Fine Arts, Fundamental, Montessori, U-Connect and L.E.A.P. at Fort Langley.

Families apply about 11 months before entry and can choose at most two programs.

Langley residents get priority. If there are more applicants than seats, places are decided by random draw.

Children who accept a kindergarten place in a choice program don't need to register at their catchment school. No school bus is provided.

A good fit if: Langley families with a child starting kindergarten in 2027, or a Grade 5 child interested in Late French Immersion.

How to register

  1. Create an account and apply online between noon on October 5 and October 26, 2026.
  2. L.E.A.P. has an extra application step. Montessori at Uplands and U-Connect stay open until full.

How to prepare

  • Pick your two programs before the window opens.
  • Plan transport, since the district doesn't bus choice-program students.
