What it is

For BC residents in Grade 12 who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, with at least a 75% average in the last completed school year.

Students must show personal or family financial adversity and plan to study full time at an eligible post-secondary institution.

Worth up to $44,000 for a 4-year degree or $22,000 for a 2-year diploma or certificate, plus mentoring, peer support and paid internship opportunities.

International students aren't eligible.

A good fit if: Grade 12 students in BC with good grades whose family finances make post-secondary hard.

How to register

  1. Apply online from 1 p.m. PT on November 2, 2026. Read the 2027 Program Guidelines first.
  2. Your child needs a letter of reference from their secondary school.
  3. The exact closing date isn't on the page yet. Phase one runs November to December.

How to prepare

  • Ask the school counsellor for a reference letter early in November.
  • Have your child draft how financial hardship has affected their education.
